This is a new twist on a sporty 5-Speed favorite! You'll recognize the classic pewter finish hardware highlighted with black race car details like the five speed H pattern shifter mechanism. Shift fully to the front and advance the Parker ballpoint refill, shift fully to the rear to retract the refill. The cap features a tire tread and hubcap, the tip features the same tire tread and the industrialized crowbar clip rounds out the car enthusiast theme.
The barrel is a Pen Studio original made from chrome wire wrap. Used as dressy motorcycle wire harness covers, the chrome mesh is stretched over a black tube and cast in clear acrylic. The cured acrylic is hand turned with carbide tools and wet sanded through 9 steps (1500-12,000 grit) to a high-gloss finish. The barrel is further polished with Renaissance Wax and White Diamond compound on a jeweler’s buffing wheel.
The hand cast and turned barrel is mounted a on racy ballpoint that uses Parker style ballpoint or gel refills.
