Art Nouveau Watch Parts Ballpoint

This hand-crafted pen is made from genuine watch parts. The disassembled parts are bent on a jeweler's dapping block to follow the curve of a painted brass tube. This particular pen has some lovely copper and brass parts from a vintage watch, chosen to compliment the pen hardware. The parts are painstakingly glued to the tube and allowed to dry for 24 hours. The tube and parts are then cast in clear acrylic and held under pressure to prevent air bubbles from forming while the acrylic cures. Once fully hardened, the raw acrylic blank is turned on a lathe with super sharp carbide blades. The turned barrel is wet-sanded to a glass-like finish before a final polish on a jeweler’s buffing wheel is applied.

This one-of-a-kind pen is mounted on an elegant art nouveau style twist ballpoint with antiqued pewter and brass details. To extend or retract the writing tip, grasp the body of the pen in one hand and twist the cap. This pen uses Parker style refills.
