This pen is made from a hand cast RhinoPlastic acrylic in a deep saucy red with shimmering highlights. Not too bright, not too dark. Just elegant...and very spicy!
RhinoPlastic blanks are tougher to work with than the usual Acrylic Acetate blanks but they are spectacular when finished. The sparkle and depth of this blank is outstanding. Carefully turned with carbide blades the finished blank is wet sanded to 12,000 grit. Several layers of Renaissance Wax is applied and further polished with buffing compound on a jeweler’s buffing wheel to a glass-like finish.
The finished barrel is then pressed onto your stylish chrome and gold pen hardware. This pen uses smooth flowing Schmidt 5888 ceramic rollerball refills.
